What We Stand For

Every company should respect your privacy. Here's how we do it and what you can expect from us.

Our starting point

Privacy is a right, not a feature. Strong laws — like the ones in the European democracies where we operate — help protect that right. Everyone deserves the same standard, no matter where they live.

Trust isn't built by claiming to be trustworthy. It's built by being transparent — especially about the things we can't control.

What we care about

Your autonomy.

Your data belongs to you. We store it because you need us to, not because we want to. You can export it, delete it, or leave at any time.

Honesty over marketing.

We're a small company with real limits. We'll be straightforward about what we protect, how we protect it, and where we fall short.

Sustainability.

We chose hosting providers that run on renewable energy. It's one of the things we look at when picking where to host.

Independence.

These values don't depend on who owns the company. No matter how the business evolves, the principles on this page guide our decisions.

What we don't care about

Where you are from or what passport you hold — we treat every member the same
Sharing your behavior with advertisers or third parties
Growth at the expense of the people who already trust us
Industry trends that compromise member interests

How we think about the world

We're based in Europe and benefit from strong privacy laws. We value democratic institutions and the rule of law that makes these protections possible. But privacy isn't a European value — it's a human one. We apply the same standards to every member, wherever they are.

Laws and governments change. When they do, we'll be transparent about what that means for our members. We work within legal frameworks, challenge what we believe is overreach, and will always tell you where we stand.

A note on perfection

We're not perfect. We'll make mistakes. When we do, we'll tell you, explain what happened, and fix it. That's more valuable than pretending mistakes don't happen.

If any of this ever stops being true, we hope you hold us accountable.
